Presentation on Canadian Personal Taxation
Hsiu Jung "Amy" Wu, CGA, Executive Director of HJ Wu & Company, CGA gave a presentation on Canadian Personal Taxation to members of the Greater Vancouver Taiwanese Canadian Association in Vancouver, on February 12, 2011. The presentation was very well received. The topics covered and discussed were:
- relevant documents and procedures for filing tax returns
- how to determine residents and non residents for tax purposes
- declaration of foreign assets
- the intention of setting up the trust and tax treatment on the trust
- foreign medical expenses claims
- moving expenses
- tax installments
Members were appreciative of the thorough explanation and useful tax planning strategies.
